Terms of use
These terms govern your use of TrustProof. By using the site you agree to them.
Last updated: October 30, 2026
1. Who we are and what TrustProof is
TrustProof ("we", "us") operates an online platform on which people can publish reviews of businesses and businesses can respond. We are an intermediary: we host content written by users, we do not write reviews ourselves, and we are not a party to any transaction between you and a business.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything done under your account. One person, one account. Business accounts must be created by someone authorised to act for the business.
3. Reviews and other content you post
You retain ownership of what you write. By posting it you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to host, display, reproduce, translate, adapt and distribute it on TrustProof and in our widgets, marketing and reports, and to allow businesses to display it. You confirm that your content is your own genuine experience, that it complies with the Guidelines, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights. You can edit or delete your own reviews at any time.
4. Our role in moderation
We use technology and human moderation to protect platform integrity. We may remove or restrict content that we reasonably believe breaches these terms or the Guidelines, and we may suspend accounts. We do not fact-check reviews and do not endorse them. Reviews express the views of their authors alone.
5. Businesses
Businesses may claim their profile free of charge and may subscribe to paid plans. Paid plans provide tools; they never affect a TrustScore or which reviews are displayed. Business use is additionally governed by the Guidelines for businesses and, for paid plans, the order form.
6. Acceptable use
You must not: post fake, incentivised or conflicted reviews; scrape, copy or mirror the site without permission; interfere with its security or operation; impersonate anyone; or use the site for anything unlawful.
7. Intellectual property
The TrustProof name, logo, star graphics, TrustScore and the site's design are ours. Company names and logos shown on profiles belong to their respective owners and are used to identify the business being reviewed.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The site and its content are provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties and are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on a review, from a transaction with a business, or from the availability of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. See also our Disclaimer.
9. Notices about content
If you believe content on the site is unlawful, defamatory or infringes your rights, e-mail [email protected] with the URL, the specific statement, and the basis for your notice. We respond to every notice and may pass it to the author.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. Reviews may remain published after an account is closed unless you delete them first.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection you enjoy in your country of residence.
