Used the card across Japan and Thailand for three weeks. Paid in local currency everywhere, no surprise fees, and the app showed each purchase in seconds. Converted between balances when the rate was good. Only cash withdrawals over the free allowance cost anything.

Rates and speed are still excellent and I'd recommend it for that alone. My only gripe is the app has grown so many features (cards, interest, stocks) that finding a simple statement now takes several taps. Keep the core simple please.

Ran my freelance income through Wise for a year without issue. Then two client payments were bounced back and my account was deactivated. Support only sends links that require logging in, which I can't do. Still waiting to hear what I supposedly did wrong.

Moved £40k for a house deposit. Fast and painless, but the percentage fee added up to far more than a specialist broker quoted, and there's no way to lock a rate in advance. For everyday transfers it's great; for a one-off large payment, shop around.

Took about five days to get my ID verified when I signed up, which was annoying because I needed to pay a supplier. Since then every transfer to Poland has gone through within the hour. Would give five stars if onboarding were quicker.
